English Landing Photoshoot

What a wonderful day we had with all the families we shot at English Landing Park in Parkville. Both Stacey and I enjoyed the beautiful weather and great company we had throughout the day.  Next time I will wear more sunscreen though as I got quite the sunburn being out in the sun all day.  The pictures are posted on our events page and we look forward to doing this again soon.

Spring is here!

With so many days this past winter without seeing the sun, we are all rejoicing! The autumn and winter muck in the yard is being cleaned up, the tulips and daffodils are blooming, and I am now seeing lettuce and pea plants poking up through the soil in some front-yard pots. Who knew you could find good compost in the gutter?  There are the first buds of lilac on one of the five bushes in my yard. It will probably be the only lilac in my yard to bloom this year, though.  One bush should have bloomed last year, but a deer ate it before that could happen. A few sprigs did make it back up through the ground this year, but it may be a year or two before that one blooms. Watch out deer – the bush with the buds is being carefully watched. As soon as it blooms, I’ll post a picture.
